3D Visualization of a Simulated Real-Life Event in Virtual Reality

This is a 3D simulation based on our recent article, Simulating Real-Life Events in Python with SimPyThis visualization is based on the simulation output from that article (the JSON files) and is built with React and A-FRAME, a VR Javascript Library.  

In the scene you will see attendees being dropped off by shuttles, walking tself-serve kiosks to purchase tickets for the event and then walking to the ticket scanners to validate the tickets. Those who have already purchased their tickets online will walk directly to the scanners. 

This scene represents 30 minutes of simulation.  

You can walk around the scene in the First Person View and put yourself in the middle of the crowd that is attending the event. Or you can watch the entire simulation by selecting the Side View. 

Before starting the scene, choose your parameters among a few options, then click “Start Simulation:
